Evidence first, certainty last
The working standards used to source, label, review, correct and archive market-information pages.
Editorial purpose
Clear Market Path explains market mechanisms, evidence and uncertainty for readers in Ireland. It does not promote transactions, products, brokers or platforms. Headlines and summaries must not promise outcomes, manufacture urgency or imply personal suitability.
Source hierarchy
Facts, interpretations and scenarios
Observed facts should identify source, period and unit. Interpretations should be attributed or clearly described as analysis. Scenarios must state their assumptions and remain conditional: “if X, Y may follow” is not a prediction. Examples and calculators illustrate mechanics; they are not backtests, expected returns or recommendations.
Editorial workflow
- FrameDefine the reader question and the publication’s informational boundary.
- CollectGather the nearest available primary material and record dates.
- TestAlign definitions and units, seek contrary evidence and identify missing data.
- LabelSeparate the record, interpretation, scenario and limitation.
- ReviewCheck links, claims, risk wording and time-sensitive statements before publication.
Corrections
Reports should identify the page, exact claim, reason for concern and supporting primary material. A material factual error should be corrected promptly once verified, with a note explaining the substance and date of the change. Minor spelling or formatting fixes need not carry a note. A changed interpretation must not be disguised as a factual correction. The working correction route remains pending on the contact page.
Conflicts and independence
Contributors must disclose financial, professional or personal interests that could reasonably affect coverage. Relevant conflicts should be shown on the page or managed by reassignment. No broker, platform, issuer or product may review conclusions in advance or pay for favourable coverage.
No advertising or sponsorship
The current project accepts no advertising, sponsored content, affiliate commissions, paid placements or in-kind consideration. If that position ever changes, the business model and each affected item must be plainly disclosed before publication; commercial material must never be presented as independent editorial work.
Contributors and accountability
Contributor names, roles and relevant expertise should be published only when verified and authorised. No fictional bylines, credentials or review titles may be used. Until contributors and operator details are confirmed, pages speak in the publication voice and do not imply professional accreditation.
Review cadence and archive
Evergreen definitions should be reviewed when authoritative methodology changes or a material issue is reported. Time-sensitive pages should show a review context and be reassessed after relevant official revisions. Superseded material should be dated, corrected or archived rather than silently presented as current. Archived pages should remain distinguishable from active guidance.
